Overview
The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship is the University of Toronto’s most prestigious award for international students, recognising outstanding academic achievement, creativity and leadership potential. It is a full four-year scholarship for undergraduate study.
Students must be nominated by their high school and apply for undergraduate admission to U of T.
Who Can Apply
International students in their final year of secondary school in 2026/2027 (or graduated no earlier than June 2026), nominated by their school and starting at U of T in September 2027.

How to Apply
Both, separately: The scholarship and university admission are separate applications, each with its own requirements and deadlines.
- Ask your school to nominate you (nominations close on 9 October 2026).
- Apply for at least one undergraduate programme at the University of Toronto by 16 October 2026.
- Complete the Pearson Scholarship application from the private link you receive, with all documents, by 6 November 2026.
