Government Scholarships for International Students
Government scholarships are funded by national governments, often through foreign or education ministries, to attract international students or to support development. They can come with conditions such as returning home after your studies.

- Check who can apply: nationality, residency and the level you will study.
- Check whether you need a university offer before applying, or apply for the scholarship first.
- Compare what each award covers: tuition, living costs, travel, insurance and accommodation are listed separately.
- Note the deadline and prepare documents early; many programmes ask for references and a personal statement.

Can I apply for a scholarship before university admission?
It depends on the scholarship. Some need an offer from an eligible university first, some are applied for separately (sometimes before you have applied to a university), and some are awarded automatically through the university application. Each scholarship page says which applies, where the official source states it. Can I apply for more than one scholarship?
Usually you can apply to several, but some scholarships cannot be held together with other funding. Check the conditions on each scholarship page and on the official website.
