Overview
Faculty for the Future, the Schlumberger Foundation’s flagship programme since 2004, supports women from low and middle income countries to pursue PhD or postdoctoral research in STEM at well-ranked universities abroad, including in the UK, and to return home to strengthen teaching, research, entrepreneurship or policy.
Who Can Apply
Women who are citizens of an eligible low or middle income country, preparing a STEM PhD or postdoc at a host institution abroad they have applied to, with teaching experience at home and a commitment to return.

STEM disciplines; the Foundation particularly encourages physical sciences, engineering, computer science and mathematics. Master's study is not funded.
Other requirements
A proven record of teaching experience in your home country, leadership and community outreach encouraging girls and women into STEM, and a commitment to return home.

Selection Process
Four selection rounds; reviewers look at commitment to return home, to teaching, STEM entrepreneurship or policy making, and to inspiring girls and women into STEM.
